Your tutor – Rachel Shilston
The session will be led by Rachel Shilston, who will guide you through the process step by step. Whether you’ve tried mosaics before or have never picked up a tile in your life, Rachel will help you create your own personal piece of Remembrance artwork.
During the relaxed 1½-hour session, you’ll learn how to:
- Plan your design
- Shape and cut your tiles
- Glue your tiles into place
- Grout your finished mosaic at home
Choose from a 10cm square or circular coaster and create your Remembrance poppy using a beautiful selection of vitreous glass tiles, ceramic beads, mirror and buttons.
No experience is necessary – just bring your creativity.
This is more than a craft session. It is an opportunity to come together on 11th November, share conversation and create something personal that can be taken home and kept as a lasting symbol of Remembrance.
This is free for veterans and their families.
